Don't get me wrong, it is a great show. A great Canadian show that doesn't contain all the 'glitz & glamour' of a staged Hollywood production. That's one of the appeals for me, the realism and that all aspects of the hunt don't go perfectly. My only criticism was the serious error in judgement that someone of his experience displayed in taking the shots he took and then airing it on public accessable medium like T.V. From what I saw and with my limited experience, the shots were questionable at best so I would think that to him, that fact should've been blatantly obvious. As I've mentioned, it is the only 'fault' I've observed that I had issue with. Public sentiment isn't exactly in favour of hunting so it's in our best interest not to give them ammunition for criticism. Subsequent episodes and those previous I've thoroughly enjoyed. I have the 'Best of The First Year' as well as a few individual ones and next is to get the best of year II.bill c68 said:I love the show... I ahve heard "complaints" about the Cariboo thing and the Eider Duck hunt... but we only see the highlights on TV.
Who knows? maybe Thomas had been practising a runing shot for moths before the taping. The Cariboo looked very close and if it looks close on tape then it was really close in reality. Maybe he felt very confident in his shot.
Whatever

I kinda' missed the obvious solution.
