Canada Post May Be Back to Work

The back log will be insane, not to mention, very disgruntled workers, I won't be buying/mailing anything CP till 3 months after the dust is settled
Disgruntled or not ?

I bet a lot are happy about getting a paycheque and benefits again.

LOL, I listened to one self entitled jerk drone on about how they should still be able to use their benefits, he was complaining about some expensive meds he had to buy.

I wish you nothing but luck, this strike has really hurt many businesses that ship up to 50 packages a day, they have loads of orders waiting to ship that will overwhelm CP the backlog will be huge and the shipping process will be slow especially when you have disgruntled employees that have been legislated back to work with nothing to show for their 6 weeks on the picket line  not a good scenario

Worked at Canada Post for 35 years. Should never go on strike solves nothing when an employer has a back to work order in their back pocket. Should be arbitrated from the get go. We go out for a few weeks, everybody hates you and the government of the day swoops in to make themselves look good. By the way it's not as easy a job as some people think being a letter carrier. I'm 70 years young now ,retired 12 years ,3 compression fractures on different vertebra on my spine (my fault for overloading myself to get done faster),top part of my left femur broke off after 22 years and I walk with a crooked hunch from the mail bag being on my left shoulder. Just a little FYI and I know we all have work related health problems...Merry Christmas.

Sellout singh told Canadians he would bring down the trudeau government if they interfered with Collective Bargaining.

Interfering in the Canada Post strike will make the 6th time trudeau has interfered with Collective Bargaining.

Lying sellout singh still keeps propping up trudeau
We both know he won’t do s—t. He is just hanging in there to collect his gold plated pension.

How many dog bites over the years?

Self entitled for the benefits he pays for? Oh boy you jerk offs are special

People still think the workers are in control of a lockout? A lot of individual workers likely would work if they could, the doors have been locked for a month as of yesterday. Im quite sure that's a factor..

The fact the contract term ends at this time of year was a preplanned event that is a bad faith card on both sides. If they wanted to settle this once and for all they would add a 6 month period to any contract term they choose to ensure it doesnt happen again. We all know it wont and this will happen in 4-6 years depending on the contract term. Set the alarm now for 2028-2030 christmas season strikes

From what I read this morning, CUPW has an existing Collective Bargaining Agreement until May 22, 2025.

The threat of and eventual implementation of Strike Action was a bad gamble at this time of year. Everybody lost on it. The workers, the Company, and more importantly, the people of Canada and the businesses which rely upon the Postal Service

I came to say this. I would not be shipping a thing for a few months. I have a few items to ship out but will be suggesting that the buyers hold for a bit.

I know everyone thinks they just been piling up with sh!t seeing as they’re not delivering anything.
But guess what. They’re not accepting anything either.
This “backlog” crap cracks me up. Use your head. The damn doors are closed at both ends.

Of course there is no backlog at postal outlets because they have been closed, but there are hundreds of millions of pieces of mail and packages backlogged in businesses for the past 5 weeks that are waiting for the strike to end ..... that is the backlog people are referring to.
