Canada Post Strike Shipping/BACK to NORMAL

Don’t worry though. All the morons will be here saying we don’t need Canada post and to sell them off.

But they are too stupid to realize without Canada post our hobby is dead faster than the OICs. If no hobbiest can ship guns they sell or have guns they buy shipped. It’s over.

Wish more people were actually educated before they spout off their internet BS.
 
Doesn't even seem to be any assurance they'll eventually come back, let alone any forecast of how long they plan to be useless this time.
 
I'm probably being overly optimistic, but couldn't this be grounds for a postponement on the confiscation program, or an extension of the amnesty? You can't get a letter of notification if the post office is on strike, and for some rural owners, Canada Post would be the only way to ship them in.

The union turned down the offer presented by management on Friday Oct 3.

Union has said they will keep the workers out until ALL their demands are met or Canada post goes tıts up.

Many members have been local on social media denouncing the union demands and actions.

Like most people these workers are only a few months away barometer financial disaster

Haven't seen anything official on them turning down the offer on Friday

I'm fully confident this is all done by design.
If and when CP does come back their rates, for shipping firearms (if they do it at all) will be par with couriers.

Lol.. you do realize UPS ships firearms. Canada post should be privatized. This Liberal government gave them a billion of our tax dollars last year and now they are costing us more. They are causing their own demise and I don't want anymore of my tax dollars going to support them. They turned down a perfectly reasonable contract offer considering the amount of money Canada Post loses every yr. You sound like the uneducated one. You probably support the CBC too..

I bet that was a very close vote on turning down that contract offer... the senior employees no doubt realize their days are numbered without some sort of downsizing or change of operations.

When it comes to hazardous materials, The UPS Store will not ship:
  • Class A and B explosives such as guns, bullets, fireworks, gun powder, etc.

    Not sure ups ships arms ,,I need to ship a gun i guess im stuck...cause CP aint shipping right ?

It's a service, not a business. The army doesn't make us money, neither do libraries. It's not intended to be a money making venture, it's a service for citizens. Judging from your post, you really shouldn't be so quick to cast the "uneducated" stone. Privatization is the race to the bottom at the cost of the consumer. Not one single public entity that moved private that I can think of, yielded the results that the clowns who screamed the loudest for it lauded it would.

UPS is a shipping option for rifles from many major gun stores. I had a rifle shipped from Tenda earlier this yr .

First of all I used the term uneducated in response to the initial post which you failed to read. Second of all you are obviously unaware that Germany, England and Japan have privatized postal services and if you have ever used them you would realize how good they are, Deutsche Post is amazing. Im sorry but any government service requiring a billion taxpayer dollars a year to function needs a drastic overall at the very least. Another CBC supporter posting on here..

It is an option and it is not. For us it does not work. UPS requires contract and certain minimum shipping per year to ship firearms. It works if done between major urban centres however any smaller location it is too expensive. Unfortunately for us Kamloops is too small for UPS to handle firearms unless I do drop them off in Vancouver for shipping. Vancouver is 340km drive one way. Canada Post is the only service that does all of Canada no matter the size of the population and location. Canpar used to be semi usable option as long as we did not ship any further east then Ontario, after Ontario it was just too expensive for long boxes
