Canadian Exclusive Kel-Tec SU-16 Predator Available Now!

Its legal to hunt deer in ont with a 223 . Is it ethical .... I aint goin there, enouth threads on that already
Now I'm confused, Yupp , who kinda implied he was an LEO ,says you can't hunt deer with a a .223 but a 9 mm is perfectly legal. And your saying you can hunt deer with a .223. And regards to ethics, I hunted deer in Ontario ,and I think .223 is perfect for the small deer.

Sorry for getting off topic On Wanstalls site. So back on topic .. I've ordered one of these and was wondering if anybody knows where to get a pistol grip stock.

You can order one directly from Keltec. I think you have to phone though. I sold one of my old sub2000's that was missing a spring to a guy who orders parts directly from keltec and repairs them. He said he had to call keltec though and I believe the prices and in US.

I tryed ordering from Kel tec last yr , when I broke my SU 16. They told me I had a better chance of banging the Queen....lol... They told me to deal with Vault:)

so it's the action that dictates the cartridgelimit? Well ya learn something new everyday. I'd say you would need 20% of a 5 rnd 9mm mag to kill a deer at 25 yards or less:)

LOL ... very true ... with the RDS and that 18.5 inch barrel. I'm probably the guy that needs to be at least that close anyway :)

However, I did witness a police officer at a tractor trailer rollover require an entire magazine of .40 cal to dispatch an very unfortunate bovine animal ... shot placement I guess ...

After shooting more than 10000 rounds of 9mm through my pistols, my targets still show that I'd probably hit a deer in the ankles at or on the tail at 100 yards on my first shot ... not all of us are deadeyes ...

I remember my su-16 barrel got very, hot very, quickly using those plastic beowulf mags. I sold it to get a T97 (which I also regretfully sold). I'm hoping this thicker barrel won't heat up as quickly at the range ...

Sucks. I have a mailbox in Niagara Falls. Ironically, I ordered a Charlie handle from them last month which I no longer need. I was planning to build a Canadian Charlie version when these popped up for sale. Thicker barrel. No brainer.

I'll try and PM the guy and see how he got that sear spring. Maybe he did get it from vault ... I've dealt with them. They were good. His name was George I believe. Sent me a new front sight for a Hatsan MPA-TS under warranty (also have seller's remorse on that one) ...

I would not want to be shot by either a 9mm or a .223 ... but you'd have to ask a deer ...

.223 has 4 times the muzzle energy than 9mm and is a far bigger ouchy. I doubt the deer can tell whether it's .270 or .223 but I'm on the other end of the gun.

I would never hunt deer with 9mm. I am even skeptical of it's people stopping power ...

lets get back on topic here, like has already been said there are many threads on what you guys are talking about.

What i want to know is does it still fold with a larger mag ?

I find kel tec's Canadian offerings confusing and mysterious. -F and Predator don't seem to be explained anywhere (sorry if I missed it)

Predator picture looks a lot like -D12, but with a muzzle brake instead of a flash suppressor. Is that right?
Is the barrel different from a -F?
Predator folds longer that -F, like -D to -A?
Could I have found this out without asking here?

As of what I KNOW today the predator + unknown red dot isn't worth $500 more than -F. I expect that makes you unhappy. I expect it is because I am ignorant, and unless I'm missing some info source, I'm blaming your distributor: Vault.

And frustrated.

BTW: If that is a brake rather than a flash suppressor; a brake is a big plus over the -F in my books. Maybe there is a reason they're not mentioning anywhere that the US flash suppressor, is replaced in Canada with a flash enhancer. Maybe the Americans have a plan ;-)

F model don't have a threaded barrel. I guess your paying $440 extra for threaded barrel, optic, forend and folding stock. And maybe the color?
