Thanks for posting the pics, bud! As far as Rich LPS goes, I think some people are a bit too full of themselves.
Good on you. Not only for posting the pics and explaining yourself succintly, but also for not telling Richyboy to go fluck himself.
Thanks Peter. Wanted to defend myself but didn't want to flame anyone. The thing I like about this community is that for the most part people are great to talk to.
I really like the Classic Green, it's arguably my favorite of the rifles I own, but anything can have stuff go wrong occassionaly.
I just not that into the Koolaid and want to put some perspective to things for people unfamillier to Swiss Arms etc.![]()

this lower may very well cause some to give the 55x a second look, Rock and lock mags are a hinderance to sales. This makes a great gun even better.
I was wondering if your mags (mil spec) might be a little different than the mags that come with the rifle..
You don't know too much about the Swiss do you?Things change over time and companies are notorious for downgrading quality after they've established a reputation
Highly unlikely. While your's appear to be factory mags, my guess is these are either really good knock-offs (probably unlikely) or have been modified (most likely) or de-milled (?) for some reason. Not saying that Swiss Arms are bad just that things might not be quite up to mil spec for the civi crowd.
@ Wicked P Sometimes people get a little defensive over a product they love if anyone says anything that could be construed as bashing it. I didn't take anything he said too personaly and he's probably a great guy I'd like to meet sometime. I'm sure he's more than capable of defending himself.
When I used a Swiss Arms gun in 3 gun (pre 10rd mag days) with clamped mags, I never had a AR 15 shooter who could keep up to my reloads.
Rich
I think someone drilled that hole in yours, god knows why...that's probably what weakened them causing them to break. That hole shouldn't be there.
Rich
You don't know too much about the Swiss do you?
As a nationality, they are extremely proud of their reputation and good name.

Ask me that again in German!![]()
Out of curiosity, why didn't you design it to fit the AR grip? You've made everything else AR, why not the grip? Would've made the trigger guard less fugly too.

@Scarheart: where did you get the mags?
A german company sells a variant of the 550 with a bolt in the mag well, so that no original magazines (read: without a hole in the front of the mag) can be used. They had to do this to comply with some stupid german law.
