Canadian suppliers list :.223 rem and 5.56mm ammo updated

Vancouver dealers

Hi guys,
I know that the question has been asked many times, but we seem to lack a dealer's list. I'm one of many Canadians owning an AR15 and having very few options where to buy ammo. The good stuff is south of the border and nothing's coming out of there for a while. So let's put our resources together... Help complete this short list of suppliers...

(please no illegal topic replies this time... the previous thread got closed)

The list is updated each time I get new info.

Updated : 2009-03-23 The Price list is back (price w/o tx), I just did a quick tour of the above sponsors.

Here's the suppliers list that CGNer helped build:

Al Simmons in Hamilton

Centaure in Laval

Italian Sporting Goods

Lebaron in MTL

Lever Arms in Vancouver

Milarms (Black Hills ammo)

Nicholls law enforcement

Powder Keg in Kamloops

Reliable Gun and Tackle in Vancouver

Royal Sportsman

Russell Sporting Goods in Edmonton

SIR in Winnipeg

Viking Police in Nova Scotia

Wholesale Sports in Lethbridge, Kamloops

Wild West (Ken)

Canadaammo.com Fed Tac. $429

Budget shooters supply.

Bulk 5.56 is weirdly hard to come by in Canada, considering how common rifles in this caliber are. The Shooting Edge is currently selling 55g PMC X-TAC in bulk (1000 rounds). The 55g has been working fine in my 1:7 NEA but if there's an option for something heavier, I'll take it.

Requirements:
  • Not steel core (range doesn't allow it)
  • Not surplus (personal preference)
  • 62g or higher

Any pointers? If nothing else is out there, I'll go with the local TSE rounds. Cheers.

Thanks, but I don't think I can run any steel ammo at TSE, where I have my membership. Also I believe the STeel Match is 223 rather than 5.56? Nitpicking I know, but I'm looking for 5.56.

Merry Christmas boys!

Not sure if I found a deal or got ripped. Just bought a thou of Federal 55gr 223 for $349 from Wholesale here in Grande Prairie. I know its not Winchester, but it can't be that bad for that price.

Probably been said all ready but The Gun Dealer in McAdam NB has 223 and 5.56 for a decent price in large batches.

No doubt. Take a look at the first post on this thread and see what people were paying back then. The Norc ammo that we can get now is a no brainer.
