Thanx for the quick answer gonna take a trip into town and try to get one! I will let ya know I make out . Got a chinese military one with the case and t shirt [i will wear it for luck ] from John at MARSTAR for xmas and it is very nice. cheers!

GOT ONE! They had x3 out in the rack but they were heavy re-firbed. [ but still nice ] The dude at the counter took me out back to pick through the others left in the gun locker and got myself a nice 1955 [ no date on bolt cover ] and it looks to be all numbers matching and no refirb marks. [ yet ] Some had some very nice stocks too.They come with 1x sling / 1x ammo pouch / 1x oil bottle with pouch / 1x cleaning kit and x3 stripper clips.Total cost was $ 180.79 out the door! Tried to get the crate but the owner took it [ DAMN ] home with her.I was told they have more comming with bulk ammo too.Hope I can get a crate next batch.
 
nice i looked close at my receipt they didn't charge me for the lock but mine didn't have the cleaning kit in the stock will have to call and ask about it tomorrow maybe able to get it from them
 
called ct this morning and without delay the woman said for me to just come in and they will have the cleaning kit for me.:dancingbanana:
 
Yea all the xtra bits are out back in the gun storage box thing.They should inform the counter staff the bits to the rifle are back there.Gonna clean her up tonight hope it is not too greasy.

mine was just really oily from ct oiling them up because of the salt water they said. but i just wiped the access oil off and put a small amount of my oil on it. and yes the counter staff need to be informed of the parts out back
 
The Crappy Tire in Perth Ontario also sells firearms. They had an SVT40 a couple of months back think it as $199 or $299.
 
Just for the record, I don't think it's Canadian Tire putting the oil on them. They all come that way. It's called "Cosmoline."

They put it on for storage back in Russia.

Its not cosmoline that are on russian SKS, its thick machine oil,wipe more easily than cosmo. The chinese SKS are coated with cosmoline.

they told me they cleaned them and because of the salt water from being on the boat they put oil right to them very easy to clean.
walked in a picked up the cleaning kit no probs very polite might just buy another gun from them

your telling me it was so easy but down inside the stock there is some cosmoline in where the cleaning kit goes
