Yep. Same gun pretty much. Same price pretty much.

CanAm has a quad rail.

Marstar is roughly $30 cheaper all in.

Either way, my co-worker and I have plans to pick up inexpensive ARs in the very near future, and we spent part of the trip to a job site today discussing pros and cons to both.

What's your input?

Free shipping with Canam. No free shipping with Marstar. That eats the $30 difference right there.

Taxes should be the same as you are out of province for both.

Canam gas quad rail.

All things considered, canam looks like the better deal.

Well, you can't really go wrong. The CanAm deal costs a touch more but has a quadrail and free shipping. Marstar will add shipping on top but should still come in a few bucks lower.

I don't think there's any difference between the guns, except that the Marstar will say Norinco, and the Canam says Dominion Arms.

I ordered the Dominion Arms a few days before the Marstar offer went up, but I think the quadrail and branding would have won me over anyway. I've never had a problem with either vendor.

I just got my DA556 today, and it seems pretty darn nice for a basic rifle.

Marstar is a joke. The owner John had taken so much flak here that he's claiming he's leaving, but much of the flak is over promised items that don't show up for years or "deals" that are regularly priced items so it's not all undeserved. He acts as if he's God's gift to gun owners and has the attitude to match.

CanAm on the other hand I've dealt with many times and they've always been top tier.

Well, look at it this way;

If there was a problem with your order, or with the shipping of your order, who would you rather have to deal with?

I know who I would choose...

That's half the problem... never dealt with either of them before. My co-worker had a flawless purchase of a pile of mags for his beretta recently from Marstar, he says good things.

I've bought a bunch of ammo from CanAm a few times now. Good guys, good prices.

I've never dealt with Marstar because they never have anything I want in stock when I want it.
