CanAm or Marstar?

:dancingbanana: Just received my DA556 from Can Am. Ordered on Feb 27th and received in Ottawa Mar 4th. FAST shipping and FREE. Plus I liked the quad rail included from Can Am.

Ordered the same day and I'm still stuck in Transfer Made Waiting For Approval mode...

Is this your first restricted?
My expected delivery date was supposed to be Friday. Yesterday got a buzz and was expecting the ammo and AR mags and lo and behold the AR itself!! lol Ammo arrived today.
God speed on your delivery.

Me? Naw - got a few restricted toys. CFO is bad about getting back to vendors, I think. I had to email a copy of the transfer notice that I got in the mail to another dealer recently, since they hadn't heard from or checked with the CFO, or however it works.

I bought the marstar, I didn't notice they didn't include the quad rail. Didn't notice marstar gave you the case either. I kept getting updates from marstar. I sent them the copy of RCMP transfer notice. Rifle shipped next day. Just waiting for it to arrive. So far happy with their service. Will deal with them again. Have bought ammo from canadaammo in the past and was satisfied with their service as well. Just hope I get it before its prohib! ;)

Mine arrived yesterday, but since no one was home, they had to come around again today. All I can say is "Wow". Thanks Can Am. The finish is a deep black and I don't see any blemishes or thin spots. Overall a very nice rifle and a great opportunity to get into black rifles...and yes, this is my first. I am now looking around for cheap bulk ammo, LAR mags...and yes a few tacticool things to stick on the rails. I guess what they say is true...AR rifles really are Barbies for men. So much for not spending a fortune.

Oh, and I can't end this post without letting Can Am know that my 11 year old daughter is absolutely thrilled about getting to shoot the roll of almost life sized zombie targets that came with the rifle once the weather warms up.

If you don't plan on changing the rails, go with CanAm. If you plan on doing a complete rebuild go with Marstar.

I went CanAm but in have no intention of changing the rails or the front post sight.

The railed handguard is kind of odd...it has the freefloat barrel nut, but then attaches to the handguard cap at the front negating the free float option.

My fourth firearm from Canam, bought before the Marstar deal came out, now I might have to buy that one to see how Marstar is to deal with :)

I have purchased from both vendors in the past and satisfied with both. Last order was a M305 socom from Canam, this time from Marstar. For the people that say that the free shipping was the closer, you do realize the final price to your door is cheaper from Marstar? It really comes down to quad rail or not.

ive ordered from can ammo a few times now and shipping was slow the first time but others very quick .. will order again from them .

never shopped with mar star , but reading the way he replies to people on here , the arrogance and attitude , it steered me away
