Canik in Canada... is there a point?

I purchased a Walther PPQ match, the fact that there is stamped "Made in Germany" instead of "Made in Turkey", is well worth the premium price for me.
Besides, the Walther is a much better gun.

Geo politics and the clown in the White House aside the only real concern I would have is the support or lack there of for Canik pistols. Where do you get replacement strikers for the guns or any other parts for the gun? They do break. The Walther is bad enough, although I do have friends in the US that can source minor parts for me in a pinch. I am going to order a set of slide lock levers and a couple of strikers for my PPQ's. If you only shoot your pistols once a month and then relatively little then I suppose there might be less concerns in this regard.

With so many M&P Gen 1 guns coming up on the EE I am surprised anyone buying their first pistol would look beyond the Board. Throw a lighter trigger return spring and an Apex FPB aka Strker block in the M&P and you get, for practical purposes, as nice a trigger as the PPQ. Certainly for the first pistol the owner will not be disappointed in how it shoots. For all the times I have shot at the range I cannot ever remember noting how the trigger felt and most guys I shoot with say the same thing.

Cadex are you aware CZ Shotguns are made in Turkey? CZ market some of the nicest field and trap/skeet guns in the marketplace. The Turks have been making firearms before the US was a wet dream for George 111. In today's world there is nothing special about Made in America or anywhere else for that matter. Quality goods are made all over this planet. If I were you I would be more worried about the unstable incoherent nut job in the White House than I would be the internal affairs of Turkey.

Take Care

I got in a TP9SFX few days ago for stock, and just had to go and try it out, it is the long barrel one .
Shoots nice, trigger a bit gritty, I haven't looked at that yet , should smooth out.
It came with holster and 3 mags ( or was that the Jericho? ye) 2mags I guess, It came with sight bases for red dot sights , so tonight I put a vortex on it , nice and low, will try it out tomorrow night and see how it shoots with the red dot, those things are great for 75 yr old eyes, now if I could just hold steady again.
I may just have to keep this one, all I need is one more pistol.
The holster is O.K. but I don't like it, but seldom use one anyway, I have a uncle mike's for my 1911, cheap and I like that, sits in close, the holster for the Canik sits way out on a swivel
