Canik TP9SFx: Anyone tried one yet?

Bend over and think happy thoughts.

im pretty disheartened about the price of these.
in the states they are paying $500 and lower on sale days and we are getting up around the $800 range for the same toy.

i was looking hard at one of these but for the price im out.
ill look again at one of their 'non race guns' that are $300 cheaper.

does it have the same grip profile the same as other canik models? I had a TP9sa and found it very blocky in the web of my hand vs my glock or shadow 2

Found the same issue on my tp9sa.

I actually took a file tobmine and recontoured the beavertail slightly and it feels so much better now (probablt not many would want to do this, but it was a 'cheaper' pistol, and i decided im keeping it)

I guess that is true i do have a lighter recoil spring in the shadow but they are loaded to 130pf.
Being a competition gun figured it cycle them no problem tho
Ill try factiry ammo see if that works for it

Ya I have heard it likes hotter ammo.....might have to get lighter recoil spring?

I am waiting for my Registration Card and I will be off to the range....

Finally got registration on Friday.

Inspected before taking to the range. Did not clean or oil.

Took about 50 rounds to zero Fastfire II. Pretty happy it worked good.

Fired 333 rounds 1 full box of X-Metal Remanufactured 124 gr.

The ammo felt fairly stout. Ejection was fairly consistant. ZERO malfunctions with pistol or ammo. Will chrono it next time I am at range. The ejection was fairly weak so I am thinking a lighter spring will be needed IF I want to load some softer ammo to make it more pleasant for wife to shoot.

Accuracy was surprisingly good. This ammo and pistol combo is far more capable than I could do it justice. Was able to hit 50 yard plates 10/10.

Trigger pull and reset is awesome, making follow up shots fast. I could rapid fire on 50 hard plates easily.

What I didn't like about Canik:

Ergos: Grip was comfortable but I found IF you let your thumb ride up on slide it would hit slide release on last round in mag so had to shoot with thumb slightly lower than what I was normal for me. This might be a game-changer for some but not me.

Would prefer IF the red dot was co witnessed with iron sights.

Conclusion.

This is my FIRST polymer striker fired pistol and I would have to say I am impressed.

Next on my list is a Glock 40....

Glad that urs is running flawlessly 350 mag. I'm hoping my issue was just cuz I have softer reloads. Trying factory ammo next time I get out

Has anyone seen a lighter recoil spring for the tp9sfx? Don't wanna have to shoot factory ammo all the time

Couple hundred rounds should break things enough. You could always clip coils. But probably be best to get replacement springs.

I think Walther PPQ spring will work?

Yea I seen that also left the slide locked back for 6-7 hours over the weekend.

So at least one person has used the walther recoil spring with success
