Canpar Sucks

My Canada post guy is awesome. Canpar has been good to.. Buuuuut yesterday the Canpar came and 30 sec after he knocked I made it to the door to see him driving off. He even left a tag. That man is a seasoned getaway driver.. I guess he didn't want to lift the heavy ammo shipment yesterday. LOL 2 cars in the driveway during a stay home order... hmmmm
Made a call few hours later from work and explained the situation... nice lady said I could pick it up at the dept. I politely explained "if I wanted to pick it up I would have picked it up form the dealer in the first place". She was amused. Fun light convo. Package was delivered this morning bright and early. Wife said the driver didn't look to happy.
Stuff happens they did ok 7out10 for Canpar this week.

They shut down completely in Calgary. There was only one drop off point and it's closed now.

Not sure where they're "growing"?

If they've shut down it's been in the past 10 days. My better half just picked up a package for me last week at the depot in Calgary. But yeah, they suck.

Canpar is more of a B2B service..

Lot of hick up arise when it is ship to residental.

Their Web tracking is delay, and dont even bother calling customer service, they don't exist :p

We use them for work, but rarely use it to ship to residential

Not anywhere as bad as CP. Given the choice I would do canpar every time.

Just got a canpar ammo shipment today came very fast in a few days....

Also got a can post shipment today. Took a month..

I don't like their tracking system, however I must say that they always delivered on the date provided or sometimes before that. I guess their area coverage must vary ! Always a good experience for me so far..

Can par has been great to me, residential address, but the drivers have also all been great. Employees make the difference.

I've had nothing but excellent service from CanPar. Yes, things got slower at xmas, but not nearly as bad as CP. It would take 14-16 days from Ontario, but Canada Post was 5-6 weeks. The biggest challenge that happens with residential, especially with firearms and ammo is that there is an adult signature (or human being at least) REQUIRED to be home to receive the package. (No one wants guns and ammo just left on the front porch) - and this requirement is put in place by the shipper. A lot of residential folks get upset that the package wasn't left when no one was home - do you want your new rifle walking from your porch before you get home? Pro Tip - have your stuff shipped to your work address if permitted. Usually there will be an adult or someone pretending to act like one available to receive your goods. When Tenda switched from CanPar to UPS ..omg...things got WAY worse.

Caspar took 3 weeks to get a small package from their Burnaby depo to Maple Ridge (30-40 minute drive) Tracking just stopped. No CS to speak of. Contacted the shipper and they shipped another one out CP. have yet to see that and that was almost a month ago so not sure which one is worse.

All Courrier are -hit and miss - depending were you are living. Canpar is first in my area. The driver is great and willing to work late to get the job done.
One thing is sure - Canada Post sucks all over Canada.
