CANSOF IUR Clone thread

Thats quite a solid build, how do you like the ARMS sights? I went with the troy option cause I have them on a few other builds and like them for the price. I wonder what about the adaptor make you have the accuracy issues?

if i had to venture a guess, i would put my lot in with barrel harmonics. ATRS is solid in their workmanship.

Arms sights and Troy have been my goto BUIS for a very long time. ARMS is a very good company and their sights work as advertised.

Ran the upper a few times sofar and its slick, but can't wait to try the whole cc unit.
will probably change the magul grip out for a BCM one

Dude, that is a very cool build. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve used the Troy sights for quite a while now, and they’re pretty nice. However the mounting screws seem to be pretty soft, and will strip the instant you tighten them a little too far. I’m still running the Troy front sight, but I have the ARMS rear sight now and the increase in quality is noticeable

Update on the build, took it out to the range and the super 42 spring is wicked. Surprisingly different feel to the rifle in comparison to a stock spring. Going to change out the magpul grip for a bcm one though.

Looks good, how was the accuracy with the ATRS adapter?

I think I may be having the same issue as you are, I was having a hard time sighting in my Eotech and was able to get it close but couldn’t get it to group super tight(even at a 25yard zero). I had to run home before I got a chance to try it without the adapter but looking at the target impacts it didn’t look like the round went in straight. I wouldn’t say it key-holed in but was not straight through. Next rotation home I’m going to do side by side with and without the adapter on a rest and see for sure if that’s the issue for me. Looks super cool and like you said is very well made but something funky is going on.

Interesting, as I was doing the rough design of the original extender I shot mine with the factory A2 quite a bit, then once the adapter was done and I mounted everything up, I didn’t notice any difference in accuracy at close ranges or 100m

Have you guys checked to see the bore of the extender is concentric to the bore of the barrel?

It seems to be, I’ll have to measure it out when I’m home next but looking at it I couldn’t tell it was off. The only thing I noticed was that when threaded down there is a gap at the end of the threads from the barrel and where the adaptor sits, if that makes sense. Like the device doesn’t become flush with the end of the barrel tightened all the way down and there is a “pocket”
