cant believe on ee all the handguns that are for sale ...

Some people are cashing in. I imagine a good percentage have a handgun they weren't using much and were planning to sell it at some point. Now it's a now or never situation.

I own a S&w victory 22, never fired... I'm going to put it on sale as I just bought a performance center version after the ban was announced. Not all of us are doing it out of desperation

It's kinda freaking me out...sky's falling type of thing:runaway:? Am I going to get stuck with pistols I can't take out of the house, shoot, sell, or hand down? As a community, what are we doing about this? Where is the common sense?

I see it as two groups but no idea what % is in each

1) Thinning the herd as they know the doors will be locked forever soon.
This is actually a great thing because the demand is there for people that want to add to their collect and the stores may not have it in stock. Hopefully they are taking the new liquid cash and put it back into the sport

2) Dumping everything. I'm sorry for your loss....

As a community we all vote for the conservatives when an NDP, GREEN or LIB canvasser knocked on your door speak your mind tell them to ^%$@#^ I hate to think how many businesses will go out of business since this was their bread and butter.

So Much judging HERE, everyone is Different, everyone has their own reasons, chill OUT , if you are Interested Buy Some, if Not , look the other way, Geezzzz!!!!!

Many guys own far too many handguns that they will likely never use again. Makes sense to sell some, and keep the ones that you really love, or compete with.

And this is why we continually fail as a political group. Jackwagons that judge others in our sport who aren't like them. Grow the EFF up ladies. We're kin cuz we shoot and how we shoot shouldn't matter. Not everyone has the financial capital to waste their money on stuff, and if they feel they should sell I don't blame them.

I don't see this as a huge issue. I have two that I haven't used in years, so I will be moving them along shortly on the EE and get them into someone else's hands. One is a 22lr, maybe even a new shooter who is missed out due to the panic buying. I am of course keeping a few more tucked away in the safe.

Don't know how the sellers can knock off $50 or $100 and expect to panic sell overnight... I've looked at a few, but don't feel like spending 10-20% off of retail... 50% off? maybe, we'll talk..
Otherwise I have a feeling many will still end up keeping theirs if this bs law passes..

On the other hand, everyone should be buying as many as they afford now... Not selling... Imagine if this was the good ole usa...

HELLO?… Every handgun sold on the EE is a handgun purchased! No loss. Just a reshuffling of the deck. Nothing bad about people giving up safe queens to those that want them more.

I've got duplicates of some, I don't have much choice about thinning the heard, have no problem keeping a bunch of them, but some no longer make sense to hold on to in unfired condition if I can never sell it down the road.

I ordered 2 handguns in the past 24 hours from gun stores. But I can understand if someone has handguns they don't want whether they never use them or if they just have too much $$ in guns to have them be worthless. My total handgun collection is now worth just under $4000. I'm willing to lose that much if they ever get confiscated. Some people are well into the 5 figures; that would hurt. Money is money; if you might need the cash in the near future, better convert your unneeded handguns into cash. You might regret it if we're able to keep and use them for another 50 years. Or you might look really smart if they get confiscated with no compensation in 1 year's time. Both are possible.
