I had high lead levels in my blood years back. At the time I was shooting lead reloads indoors at IPSC matches. I had to switch to jacketed bullets and copper plated bullets. Also stepped away from indoor ranges. Lead levels have been good for 10 years now.
I just picked up my first antique. From a fellow CGN'r a Webley British Bulldog in 450. He was shooting 455 Mk2 ammo in it and from what I read it would be fine. I picked up some Hornady .454 255gr lead bullets.
I would like a cleaner alternative. I've been thinking of plated Berry's or Campros. Also have been considering powder coated bullets like Xmetal.
Which ones would you think cause less barrel wear and issues?
Thanks
Moe
