You do know that what you've got, based on the trigger guard housing & triggers, is what is commonly called a "Cooey-Carcano" that has had a new barrel installed & is chambered in 6.5x54 M.S. & NOT for the 6.5 Carcano round, right? The triggers are different because there were (before some cretin cut-off the 2nd trigger) double set triggers installed to mimic the Mannlicher Schoenauer rifles that were popular back in the day.
It looks like because someone did not have the correct clip for it, he made one to fit the new rounds.
