Does anyone know why the Annie Induction Annealing device is so expensive? R&D isn't cheap but $500USD is steep.
The component seems simple enough for a basic unit. Ones on YouTube uses a coil inductors (wound 12g copper wire?) whereas the Annie has a horseshoe magnet looking inductor.
Has anyone tried sourcing and building a DIYer?
I sourced components for a electronic heat controller for my LEE melt pot that was half the cost of completed unit. Pretty sure mosfets, diodes, capacitors, heatsinks are cheap from eBay. Power supplies from old Servers are cheap (but noisy).
