That's what I do, and I use lead shot to help mix thing's up.

You can warm the mixture in a hot bowl to get a good mix

Some of my manuals have pictures of dented shoulders from excessive lube.

yep, that's what Lee Precision tech support replied to me.
I guess I never got enough lube in the die to dent the shoulder.
I'll check my 223 sizing die. It sized thousands of cases without cleaning.

Well, the borescope shows minimal deposits in the sizing die. More like a dirty ring.
It also shows that Lee Precision drilled a small hole in the shoulder area to allow the lube to escape rather than accumulate.

I guess one doesn't need to clean the shoulder any more if using fairly recent Lee Precision dies.

Just to confirm, this method allows you to skip directly lubing the neck with a brush or anything, because a bit will build up at the case mouth and that will lube the expander on the way through?

And then after sizing, just add some hot soapy water to the bucket and swirl a second time?

Yes, there will be a tiny bit of lube on the mouth of the case, which will lube the expander button.

The 1" worm of lube does a whole bucket of brass. the film is very thin, so lube on neck is not an issue. If you use too much, you will get pressure dents in the shoulder. Not a big deal, they shoot out. But that will tell you to use less lube in the future.

I have a tumbler, so after I size a bucket of brass, I tumble it for an hour, and that cleans off all the lube. If I did not have a tumbler, I guess i would shake it in a bucket of hot soapy water..

I size a fair amount of rifle and pistol brass, so I like a technique that is easy and fast.

I use the RCBS water soluble case lube and just triple rinse the cases in hot water after I'm done sizing them and let them dry. Works fine for me, but it's also low volume (~100-200 at a time).

Seen it mentioned a couple of other time on this thread the home made 1 part lube to 10 parts 99% alcohol I use RCBS lube. I mix it in a 500 ml trigger sprayer. Cheep very effective I lay out 50 cases at a time on an old towel opening facing me give it a light spray roll over 1/2 turn light spray again. then I roll them again once remove any access and put in loading block let sit for a couple of minutes for the alcohol to evaporate. Very little residue left takes like 2 minutes to lube up 50 cases. Once I've loaded the case I give it a quick inspection wipe with a towel and into the ammo box. Works way better then any store bought spray lube I tried.
