CCI MiniMags HP 36gr $7.99/100 Cabelas

I should call than, I got 1000rnds and there were 5 smashed cases, 20+ loose rounds which were also dented .and interestingly the five unsmashed cases were all still opened with the seal broken which I can't understand. Not the end of the world but i thought it must have been just ups being rough with mine. I think a few skids fell in the warehouse!

You should call,if anything than to let them know about the poor packing. Perhaps they will do a better job in the future to avoid this from happening again.

After a long delay, my order finally arrived on Tuesday.

For some stupid reason, they decided to split up two exact cases worth of ammo (5000 rounds each) and ship them in four boxes weighing 20 lbs each. I don't know why, I've shipped crates of surplus ammo that weighed 60 lbs without any problems. I wanted them as intact cases so that I could track the lots of ammo for consistency.

They had three of the boxes laying on their sides with two upright. It was the worst packing job I have ever seen. One of the boxes was split open and they all barely had any tape on them.

Each of the four parcels had damaged boxes inside. Out of 100 boxes, 34 were damaged somehow and one of them was utterly destroyed and missing two rounds.

I phoned customer service and sent the photos of the damage to a lady there. She said I would hear back from someone in 1 or 2 days. That was 3 days ago.

I'm not impressed. I tried to cancel the order last week after hearing about all the damaged shipments here. I offered twice to pick the order up in the store but they said it was too late to cancel.

What BS. That was last Thursday and Friday that I contacted them and it wasn't even picked up by UPS until Monday.

I've been dealing with Cabela's since 1988 and have lost track of how much money I've spent there.

I don't think I'll be dealing with them again after this. Now I have a bunch of damaged rounds and cases from I don't know how many different lots.

I regret that I didn't just pick it up in the store where I could insist on an intact case.

So much for what seemed like a great deal.

They are well aware of it.

When I tried to cancel my order last week and offered to pick it up in the store instead, I mentioned this thread and the problems that other people were having with damaged shipments.

Both of the people I spoke with indicated that they knew people have been receiving damaged shipments.

Still, it IS a good idea to let them know.

Either they're trying to cheap out on packaging material, or someone in shipping is utterly incompetent.

I suspect the later...

Watch them decide it's too much of a hassle and stop free shipping deals.

My sticks came in 2 5 box sleeves & 3 loose sticks (1300rds). The only packing was 2 pieces of crumpled up craft paper. The box wasn't bashed at all outside so I figured the damage was caused by sliding around in the box. The plastic air bags would have done a better job of filling the gaps.

This is starting to sound like there is an ANTI in the shippers department.
A Remington 700 was shipped for a trigger recall. They called to advise receipt and the next day called to advise the stock was broken.
The gist was there were a number of guns arriving as if stomped.

Those plastic trays virtually explode when dropped. One round was found in a arrow display that was 16" above the floor.

I have ordered tons of stuff from these people and have never had a problem, clothing , lamps, ammo, etc. You must live in a different world.

I recieved my replacements today
Recieved 2 orders one box was ripped with a 100rd pack missing... the second pack has 2 boxes partially smashed 1 missing 4 rounds

Result cabelas shipped amother single box and a $25 gift card following my complaint. First time I have ever had issue ording product from cabelas... not sure if they were all handled rough or if they were offloading seconds.
Still end of the day I have an obscene amount of CCI ammo.... good for a rainy day as it's some of my best shooting stuff.
