What each CT store stocks is up to the permits that store has and the decision of the managers/owner. Even if one CT has something, if my local store doesn't want to deal with it, I can't have it ordered in. Each store has quite a bit of autonomy in what they carry. Some stores get all the permits to sell primers, powder, and firearms while others just sell your basic factory ammo. There might even be some that don't carry ammo at all, I'm not sure.
There is only one CT store near me that even sells pistol ammo. The rest are just your run-of-the-mill factory rifle and shotgun hunting loads. There is a CT a couple hours drive from Ottawa (Kemptville) that stocks firearms, reloading supplies, etc. but it's too far to be a regular commute for me. There was a Canadian Tire in Sudbury when I was a kid that had an entire aisle of rifles, shotguns, and ammo. Owner died or something, whoever took it over got rid of it all and now that same store only has a single cabinet of factory ammo.
