Sorry if old news.

They are just "CB Long Rifles". The ballistics and noise level are the same as the CB's.....just a different name with a longer case.

As far as the subsonics? About 1/2 as loud as standard subsonic rounds.

Personally I prefer the Remington CeeBe rounds.....a tiny bit louder than the CCI's, but they use the same Hollow Point that the yellowjackets do.

I wonder if they really are 710fps. I chronied the cb longs and they came in at a steady 550fps. The cb shorts were the advertised 710.

What were you shooting them out of? If it was a semi you lose a BUNCH of velocity unless you lock the action closed.....and when it comes to CB's the longer the barrel the better. A 24" tube bolt action had mine travelling 690-715 FPS

I think they were just announced at Shot show 2012, we should get them up here. Personally I like CBs but I think these new ones with a full sized bullet will be more accurate.

Nice not to need hearing protection. CB in a longer case for better magazine performance? that's my guess.
I need a DBM Bolt action .22lr

Same bullet as the CB's, just a longer case....far nicer to load into a mag, less leading issues compared to the shorts(due to the lack of freebore in a LR chamber), but still just a regular CB.

CBs have a 29gr bullet these are a full 40gr

Also CB longs have a full length case but the shorter 29gr CB bullet. Making them shorter and more prone to feeding issues than these new ones.

Where did you get that 40 Gr. figure? It contradicts the info I got...but if true than you can disregard everything I wrote.

Edit: My mistake, disregard.....just pulled the spec sheet and you are correct: 40 gr. It seems these are measuring 68DB, which is louder than the CB's, but still waaaay quieter than even subsonics.

I'll have to play with these :)

the longer case would make them feed better from box magazines,my CB Longs are fine in tube magazines but don't work as well in box magazines,I have to single feed them

I've yet to find it anywhere for sale in Canada. I sent CCI an information request looking for a Canadian seller but as yet I've not heard back from CCI
