CFET BCL Siberian 4000 Round Final Report

Ha guns are fun tools, not something I would ever think of financing. .

Dang they have a tan siberian for $1700 plus two other things I want that are decent price too...I just don't want tan! Laugh2

So you want to pay Pemberton prices? Last time I was there, a McnCheese was $5 in the local grocery store, lol.

I just want ALL BLACK so I don't have to clean the damn thing! :) My Glock 19x started as tan and my little sister says it's "grungy green" :) Hell, I got her Glock 19x ceracoated in pink camo and it still looks fab :)

Don't tell my wife about the pink, she is so girly. But I guess that's what I like about her, hehe.

"you'd been called out previously for treating a civilian rifle like a military rifle. so, you create your own personal definition of 'utility rifle' that is more onerous than that of a military rifle and then use military criteria to test it. again, not much of a test whatsoever."

The manufacturer is marketing it as a "utlility" rifle

peep the description. "A Semi-Automatic Utility Rifle"

Appreciate you guys doing this report. It sucks it didn't get to the end. What is next on the rifle list?

We're aiming to do the Raven mid-late summer. We're pretty set on getting that over a Crusader Arms product. But if Sterling comes out with something we'd consider that one too

got to 1000 rds today on the bcl and have only had 1 failure to feed, 1 faliure to fire, 1 loose gas screw. using cross mags and pmags

I think if they do more tests on other rifles they should have two rifles in the test in order to test the general reliability in normal use as a utility rifle and not as a pseudo military rifle.

You certainly have a penchant for stating the obvious. Do you really believe people have as large a reading and comprehension problem as big as your post count suggests?

The point I was originally making was that the person doing the review in that video first packed up the rifle with dirt, ran it and then stated in his summary as a 'con' to the rifle that the bolt finish was adversely worn and possibly damaged and perhaps BCL should warranty the rifle. Let's deliberately induce damage and then blame it on the manufacturer...

I'm not gonna test my engine by tossing dirt in the intake. Buy hey its a good way to watch a rod goto the moon.

Also, I'm really baffled by all the salt in this thread. It's simply a firearm, not someone's relative or personal honour. If I purchased something that didn't function well I would want to know about it, and would not take poor results personally. I'm glad that these fellas are doing this and I really don't think that there's some nefarious anti-BCL, let's-make-fool-out-of-everyone-who-bought-one sort of bias here.

Seems that many people are emotionally tied to their choice of firearm, same as any mongoloid that's tied to a particular brand of truck, hockey team, etc. I guess that would explain why these same people will defend the reputation of a for profit business for free.

I always wonder how many people who are against a particular firearm have actually owned one. I did call out a couple of the most vociferous Siberian opponents on an earlier thread and both admitted that they have never seen a real one let alone, handled/owned/shot. They used expressions like "well everyone knows..." and my "Uncle's friend's cousin third time removed overheard someone in a bar saying...."

It would be great if everyone replying to these threads at least gave an idea of their own personal experience and some idea of their shooting background....
