Some of the automated ranges at Bisley aren't too bad,like the FIBUA and MOVERS(you still have to mark them yourself) but the one in Pucka is by far the best i've been on.
Yeah Pucka was quite impressive. I got into the control box briefly and the control software actually looked easy to program quickly and was amazingly detailed in the results it could generate. The best feature though for combat marksmanship is the reliable fall-when-hit sensors. Nothing like immediate feed back for success in training. My ideal system would also allow a run up to the firing point so its not a totally static range.
Bisley's systems worked great considering their age. but then each range there had a dedicated operator assigned and maintenance was well up kept. Simple yet effective.
