You do realize I'm joking about fees & stuff, right?
lend a hand once or twice for improvements I have planned for the summer.
My range is open (and free) to anyone who is respectful and can follow the simple rules I have posted there. Being that the land belongs to my family, I like knowing who is using it and, like many rural area residents, we prefer that the local traffic doesn't increase a great deal - that is why I'm somewhat cautious about inviting people I don't know and that may sometimes come off a bit south of giddy.

What an awesome place to shoot. The offer to help promote and support shooting in your area is superb but CYB!!!!
Private land - liability lands on you and your family. Your generosity should never end up being your curse.
All the best...

PS, if you built your stand a bit taller, would you be shooting at Tomorrow from Yesterday?
.... ah, that's funny shtuff! I didn't have that specifically in mind at the time but I like it! That's actually the lowest position possible for straight line of sight to 1000 yards. Besides, my kids think it's cool & want me to build a "shack" on it. Heck, I may even throw up a crow's nest and play pirate. "Yarr, how be ye come on out from behind them bushes, yonder scurvy dog!"Ha ha! Right you are sir!Well, I do have my moments but my mom thinks I'm okay! Do you think I scared Shooter---/?
Honestly, I built that range initially for myself with the hope of more people around the community joining in on some fun. I have many improvements planned and have started getting kids out to develop a passion in them about shooting sports and above all, senses of respect and safety. My 12 year old daughter was consistantly on the 18" plate at 350-ish yards last year with the youth model .243 I bought (graduating from 22RF over the last two years). My two younger boys are following suit and some of their little buddies will be joining us this summer. I have commitments from dads of my older son's hockey team to come learn something this summer, as many of them have never shot firearms. There is also something very special about going out by yourself or with a select few others every once in a while and spending the entire day without interruption, just enjoying shooting and relaxing. That's my therapy!
