CGN Snowgoose Extravaganza 2017

hung like a mushroom in a cornfield.....

Remington Sportmsan Hi-speed steel 3" is what I was using.....

Seems like all you guys had 3" ers ... lol

I was "using" a three incher too... but there's nothing Hi-Speed about it... starts off as a .22 Short and over a 30 minute period works it way up to a 3" .410... with the right incentive... you know the generic name for ######??? "Micocksafloppin..."

That's Indian leg wrestling to be exact....

Must be a y'ung'un crowd.

That's how I remember it. 4" steaks and 42 geese on day two

Hmmmm. No. I believe the steaks, which were fantastic by the way, were about 3/4" thick and about 16 or so geese went down on day two. :p Anyhow, enough discussions about male external genitalia. Let's get back to talking about Mossbergs, thepolinators new stock bending business and the Indian leg wrestling match that will headline UFC 210. :kickInTheNuts:

Credit goes to swinginberries for the pic....... he almost made me look good... lol.... notice the sunburn..... that is what a late March snow goose field should look like......

Big credit to our gang, we had a great time in spite of adverse conditions, we downed a decent amount of geese and we had a blast..... that is why it's called hunting and not shooting, when Mother Nature tries to make you her b1tch, you fight back and persevere.... as was said a while ago in this thread, you wont remember the goose count 10 years from now... but you will definitely remember the experience..... and I will remember it fondly......

Awesome picture.

How is the jerky?

Delicious..... better than when I make it with beef.....

When you do jerky, you are supposed to cut with the grain, not against it like usual..... much easier to do with geese...

The kids love it, and it's very filling, so I can leave some out so they don't bug me for snacks every 5 minutes... lol
