CGN'ers with Night Vision Experience - Need Help

I know where I hunt it is illegal to have NV and a weapon in your possession at night (where big game is known to be) during big game seasons. You can use night vision but you must not have a weapon in your possession at the same time( at least during any big game seasons).

I never knew this kind of law existed, maybe it's for when you hunt which makes sense for target ID.

I always wanted to shoot with NV at least on a range or on crown land.

I would advise to do as much research as you can before buying and know what you pay for.
With NV it is the case. I would advise at least a gen 4 and up.

If money was not an issue than I would get this fusion system binos... It combines thermal and night vision....

Gen 4 and up, eh? Interesting, according to the US military Gen 3 is currently as high as it goes ;)

yes, you are right, I apologize, i meant gen 3. had glocks on my mind after just talking to someone, and the military does use a gen 4 NV by the way or also called an ultra advanced gen 3

No worries. They are generally using a thin film Gen 3. Filmless gen 3 were going to be referred to as Gen 4, however it really wasn't the same kind of step up in performance, so the Gen 4 description was axed.
