I've heard that Pietta are the ones who make the Cimarron revolvers.
Before i puchased two Chaparrals in .45 LC,
i did lots of research and i think i read somewhere
that Chapparral was indeed started by former employees
of well known gunmakers laid off ,
and they also made guns for a couple of other names.
I think Cimarron was one of them, but cant 100% remember.
Getting back to the Chaparrels.
One was good right out of the box,
the other needed a trigger/sear replaced (warranty)
and i had to take the gun apart to better polish
internel parts.
After that they both work great.
This inconvience was well worth the money i saved buying these models.
They are almost identical to Piettas that my buddy has.
Accuracy in beginning was not great,
but after shooting them in , the groups tightened right up.
I shoot home casted bullets with cowboys loads,
with no leading.
200grain round nose flat points, behind 5.2 grains of titegroup.
