Charlize Theron's SKS in "Mad Max, Fury Road"

Easily the best movie of the year, if not for the last 10 years.

Tom Hardy does a perfect pure boss one handed/emergency reload on a Glock.
The drivers/stunts, art direction, armorers and combat sequence choreographers did a A+++ job on this film.
Flawless cinematography and sound track.

Or you could turn the rifle over open up the mag and drop lose rounds in ala Jerry Miculek. (He has youtube video using the SKS and loading it that way)

anti-gun is too much, but mel gibson being an alcoholic racist is completely fine? some of you guys have seriously ####ed up priorities.

As far as I know, Mel Gibson doesn't go around publicly advocating racism and getting loaded. The douches on the list publicly advocate anti-gun rhetoric. Big difference.

I'll watch this flick because I've heard it's pretty awesome, actors politics aside.

My wife hates when I point out firearms related discrepancies in movies. Some are worse than others. I'm going to check this one out.

The character is called Coma-Doof Warrior — but he’d be more accurately described as the guy in the mask furiously shredding a flame-throwing electric guitar while dangling above a mobile wall of speakers (actual name: The Doof Wagon) that roars through the desert. He’s essentially “the post-apocalyptic drummer boy, or the trumpeter before they go out to battle,” iOTA, the man who plays Coma-Doof Warrior, explains to Yahoo Movies. “He’s the guy who riles up the troops.”

As for the music he played during his six months on set: “I just sort of got up there and jammed,” he said. “Whatever I could come up with. It’s a double-neck guitar, so it’s a bass and six-string electric, but there’s a base that I’m standing on and below that is a partial amplifier, so it’s blaring, and it’s totally squealing all the time. You’re just thrashing on it, and making noise. I’m playing Zeppelin or Soundgarden or AC/DC or whatever I was feeling inspired to do.” (The music you hear in the film was added in post-production.) Speaking of AC/DC, iOTA also revealed that his character’s look was partly inspired by the metal band’s frontman, Angus Young, particularly the short pants and sneakers.

“I was screaming my head off, ” says iOTA of the high-voltage experience of filming Max. “The whole thing was just mind-boggling. I was just walking around set with my jaw open the whole time. It was incredible. And just tearing through the desert on that truck was really something else. You’ve gotta try it.”

The budget is probably stated low but I'm glad it looks like it will make back good coin, nevertheless. I hope they don't make the mistake of going PG a la Thunderdome.

Well said. Another point to make to all you boycotters (aside from the fact you are missing out on an insanely good all-out old school action flick....)

From what I've read, Tom Hardy (Mad Max) is also a pro-gun shooter...when in the Czech Republic, he visited the CZ factory in his spare time and tried out some guns. According to the article the SP-01 Shadow was his favorite. Pretty decent for a Brit when you consider all of the hypocrites on the antis list.

Also came across pic of him with a firearms trainer:

Hell, Tom Hardy shot here a couple times a week while filming in the area. He is definitely a gun guy. https://www.theshootingcentre.com/gallery/celebrity-sightings
