Charlize Theron's SKS in "Mad Max, Fury Road"

Yes the Bubba'd SKS was interesting, we all have one, and you could spend days watching all of the SKS videos on YouTube. The issue was mentioning Charlize Theron on a firearms enthusiast forum. Would you go on a support forum for battered women to start idolizing Tom Sizmore and be surprised when you get a negative response?

Thank god they finally redemed the series after Thunderdump, nice to see another true to form Mad Max movie.

On a side note, if anyone hasn't seen the original Mad Max in the un dubbed version. Watch it, it's much better then the dubbed version they released on the North American market back in the day.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome wasn't bad until he actually got *Beyond* Thunderdome and met up with those kids. WHy why do they always have to do that. Let's add a sidekick and some kids. Geez

I love threads like this I will not watch this movie bla bla bla

1) they already made the money off the movie whether you watch it or not
2) you are hypocrite, unless

You never have bought anything form:

Ben and Jerry's
Hallmark
Levi Strauss & Co
Sara Lee Corporation
Time Warner Inc
Rolling Stone Magazine
AMC movie theater/Entertainment Inc (oh oh you dont watch the walking dead do you?)
CBC
Comcast/NBC universal
Costco
Goodyear
Google
Hooters
Ikea
Sonic
TGI Friday
NFL (oh crap ever watched a football game)
Starbucks
Target
Toys R Us
Whole foods
ABC

And the list goes on and on and on. We all know you have and will continue to buy things from these companies.

Movie wasn't filmed in Australia. And nothing seen in movies is real.
Semi-autos, of any flavour, are virtually illegal in Australia. Special permit called a Category D (that regular voters can't get) is required.

I noticed the other day they played "Mad Max", "The Road Warrior" and "... Thunderdome" back to back on The Movie Network. Maybe they will again, some can binge watch and get caught up in the series. Of course, Thunderdome is worth skipping, it was pretty bad.

Typical Hollywood money grab aimed at a younger market... like Spielberg and the Ewoks (instead of Wookies) and that atrocious Jar Jar character.

With the exception of Thunderdump that's a good way to spend the day imho, what I like about Fury Road is that it can theoretically happen after TD in the storyline and I can continue to pretend that TD never happened lol. Fury Road was good with one exception, it didn't have a lull in the action. It was just non stop action, it always nice when there's a break in the story to have a piss.

The modifications to the SKS are probably to keep with the aesthetics of the film. What's practicality got to do with those road vehicles? I also don't understand the questions about the cost of the SKS - as a family, they're common and easily available, and the movie armourers clearly work under different regulations than private owners - notice all the FA guns in movies filmed in Canada? :p

Incidentally, it's also possible that the guns weren't even in Australia as most of the filming took place in Namibia, the guns might have been sent to location directly from the US (or Canada, or Europe, etc.)

Also, on the buddy bipod ting... what Mystic Precision said

I've seen both many times. Bubba Zanetti sounds way more menacing in the dubbed version! ;-)
I'm looking forward to seeing Fury Road. The reviews have been unanimously in favour.
I don't have any issues with actor hipocrisy. I bet most whores don't even like ###.

Well if you dig all the old Kawi's in mad max, try and watch an earlier Aussie biker movie called "Stone". It's all Z1 900's and the actor that plays the Toe Cutter is in it as well, it's pretty classic.
