Where is the cheapest place to get .308 ammo? Quantity/quality doesn't really matter, as long as it's cheap, it's for range practice anyway. Local in GVA would be great, online shops are okay too. Any ideas?

Sweet. Can Tire also has a $10 off coupon online right now, so 3 boxes will be only 32 bucks.

Still, I wonder where there are bulk stuff. Oh well, this will satisfy for the time being.

don't hold your breath. i remember something about the US no longer surplusing ammo. no military ammo sales to civies. i could be wrong

at least then the factories can supply the civilian market with ammo instead of contracts.

Yeah, Clinton signed some law that they can't sell milsup to the public. However, the factories can make milspec ammo and sell it cheap once they don't have to send it all to Iraq.

Actually, ended last Friday. They ran 2 coupon offers, one 3 weeks ago ($10 off on purchases over $40), the other, ended last week ($10 off on purchase of $50 or more). 1 coupon per day

3 boxes per day, 60 rounds for $54, with tax. The stores out here couldn't keep enough of that 308 in stock:D

Looks like they're trying out this 'online coupon' gig- all the more power to them.

Al Simmons still has some surplus left (South African I believe). I have 16 rounds if someone wants to pick them up hahaha. They don't cycle well in my Savage 99.

Federal American Eagle and Remington UMC can both be had for $10 a box. Both are accurate, but UMC believe or not is some mean sub MOA stuff in the right rifle.

Does anyone have experience buying from this shop? Seems like a good price for ammo.

Keep your eyes open on the C.Tire online coupon, I think it'll make its return soon, then it's time to clean them out. :D My bud and I wiped out their .22 stock in PoCo and Coquitlam C.Tires

I've purchased sights and BBQ kit from them online- no problems.

They don't do comms worth s**t, and the online pages won't tell you if they are 'out of stock'. Got my Remy 870 fiber sights in 2 weeks- waited 3 months for the 'big a** poultry injector', but it did arrive.:D

Not to sure on the shipping rates for ammo, as it will be coming courier, not CP. That shipping charge usually makes the "ammo cost+GST+PST" option more viable for me than the "ammo cost+GST+Shipping", unless its 1000+/- rounds.

Where? I've done some looking around the lower mainland and the cheapest I've found anywhere was the Federal power shok 150's at Cambodian Tire. The price in Mission is now $18.99 a box, with Remington 150-gn at $21.99.

OG,
If you google 'Al Simmons', you'll find the gun shop 'in the center of the universe' I think Old Savage is referring to. Not quite TO, but close...

Gotta keep in mind the 'round about' route ammo takes to the real world....
It goes from the 'East' through the Panama Canal, to the other 'east' (yeah, any thing east of the Rockies...) then trains n' trucks back here to the real world, all courtesy of some tree hugger bulls**t inherent to our wet coast life style..

###. I wonder if we could get a few interested parties to band together on a single order to save on shipping? I frankly have no idea how much it costs, but I'm willing to look into it!
