Cheap but good autoloading tactical 12 gauge?

Well, I ran the gun today and it didnt perform as id hoped. It was great with slugs but had trouble with the cheap target loads I shoot most often. Actually, problems would be an understatement. It wouldnt eject even ONE round. I had to run 15 rounds through and every one was an stovepipe with the hull stick halfway out of the chamber. Had to pull it out and rack the charge handle to chamber another round.

Now I realize I could fix this by running some hotter or higher brass loads but the gun has to work for ME... and I run the cheapest ammo I can (that way i can actually afford to shoot... ) and this gun doesnt like it. My 870 has no trouble with it and is %100 reliable so im going to just stick with that until the day comes i can afford a higher end semi.

FWIW, it ran 2.75 slugs like a champ and was SUPER accurate at 20 yards. The sights are absolutely AWESOME... Someone should sell these seperately. They rule. Action works well when its working. Not complicated at all. I HATE the feed ramp. That 2 stage deal is a pain and the ramp spring is ultra stiff. I think it would be possible to learn how to run this gun quickly, but its definitely not as easy as others.

My buddy already bought it from me, so im happy I got to try it and the rounds he buys seem to run great in it. So its going to be a great gun for him.

You buddy bought a great all around shotgun! Haha

Beretta 1201p... I bought it new for $600 about 15 years ago....runs like a champ and shoots similar to my Benelli M4's

You really think that's gonna work with a co?

enefgee wasn't talking about game regs, he was talking about federal firearms regs. Loading 6+1+1 as described is completely legal according to the criminal code. If you are out hunting then you should be meeting your provincial game regs and not worrying about a competition loading setup.

I'm sorry to hear the Hatsan didn't work out for you. I was fortunate enough to win one at a shooting match. I've only run a few slugs and 50 rounds of cheap short brass target loads from mine. Ran like a champ so far.

Same experience with my Hatsan. Runs the light stuff and the heavy stuff.
