Why do you want them? They are the worst 1911 mags I've ever used.Who does import the 1911 Check-Mate mags? Check-Mate does not sell out of the US.
I had three 7 rounders that came as "factory" mags with my Colt 1911 (they have a Colt logo on them but are actually made by Check Mate). They sound exactly like the one you described. The first mag was defective from the start - it had an incorrectly machined follower which made it nearly impossible to release the slide stop with an empty mag in.The second mag broke after the first range session (the spring gave up), and the third one was also causing some sort of a problem, though I don't specifically recall what it was. In addition to the malfunctions, the mags felt pretty clunky and spring compression wasn't smooth.I heard good things of this mag:
CM54-7-B-H
- 7 rounder
- Welded baseplate
- Flat follower (w/ dimple)
- Hybrid (tapered) lips
- Std. spring (hi-perf --11#-- sprg as an option?)
Which ones turned up bad for you?
