Not sure about Canadian distributor.. check our sponsors website or contact local dealer..
I'm sure they can be ordered in if not in stock.. or can order from brownells.

O.k I could of sworn I seen 10 rnd .40 mags from wilson.. but can only find 9 rnd . 40's and 10 rnds in 9mm... either I saw wrong or they discontinued them...

with bomar-style sights, they fit with tiny amount of sanding like .050" all you are doing is taking the bevel thats already there and taking some more off will try to do pics later if i remember

This is OP!! ;)

Please can anyone confirm that Tripp "system" 10 rounds mag (.40 and/or 10mm ) fit in the IPSC box? If they do with little trimming please post some pictures.

Thank you!

See post #6 in this chain: I have already confirmed this, but I do not have pictures available.

I am running a Delta Elite converted to 40 with the system mags. With the stock Colt mag catch and the stock fixed sight I needed a tiny bit of sanding to fit the box. I had nose diving issues with the mags when loaded to full Capacity and have installed the EGW elevated mag catch to help. Problem is don't have access to a box right now to see if this also bought me some extra clearance. The mags will fit just make sure you test each one.

They work perfectly well for me.

hmmm: that's actually a misleading statement.

I experimented with the System mags in my STI Trojan (40 S&W). I could not get 10 rounds to work reliably in my gun. I stopped experimenting when I picked up a 9mm Spartan to augment my 40 Trojan.

Since I no longer required 10 rounds in 40 I sold those mags to a guy who uses them in a Springfield Trophy Match gun. They work for him, but I do not know how much he uses them with the full 10 rounds (he's always shot 8 round major as far as I can recall). I do know he has practised with them at the full 10 rounds and reports they work fine.

I now use Tripp 9 round 40 S&W mags in my Trojan, and 10 round 9mm mags in my Spartan. THESE mags work flawlessly and I highly recommend Tripp mags.

As stated previously: you "can" get 10 round System mags to work in a 1911 in 40, but some of these guns are notoriously finicky in that caliber.

Just a comment on this thread...

As of this weekend, I've shot 5 IPSC Classic matches with my STI 1911 in 9mm.

This weekend was the first time my gun ran without a hitch.

1911s are not Glocks (or Shadows come that)... While they are exceptionally accurate pistols, they are not without "issues". Feed reliability seems to be a common concern (bullet OAL, magazine type, lubrication, ramp polishing, etc.).

Given the variation in 1911s, there is no "one size fits all" solution to reliability problems. (And the problems seem be different between guns.) Experimentation seems to be the only way to solve the problems.

Coming to CGN is a good place to get advice, but there needs to be some context as it applies to 1911s - what works for someone else may not work for you. This is a starting point for advice - the outcome will be up to you.

Thee IDPA box is a bit smaller than the IPSC box and my Trojan with Tripp "System" mags fit.

As previously stated, they are not on Tripps web site but a phone call cures that. I dealt with Virgil and he was fast to ship.

FWIW they make them as ordered, which only adds a cople of daysbefore shipping.

They are about $38 USD each plus shipping.
