Chest Rigs and Mags for your Black Rifle

Just got my package...... I have to admit I'm having a case of buyers remorse.

Although I'm sure the gear will be adequate for what I'll put it through it does have a cheap feel to it.... Am disappointed.

Live and learn.....

Not the end of the world. You can sell it here on the EE and get some good quality stuff. Better you find out now than when you really need to depend on it. Another reason to spend the $ on quality gear is warranty and customer service. The good companies stand behind their product and won't make you jump through hoops in the unlikely event you need to return something.

I'm going to go through it all this afternoon and determine what's going to be kept and what's getting parted out...

Biggest disappointment was my initial impression of the 2 back packs. Material was fine but the zippers and buckles were not the same quality as the 2 rifle cases/drag bag I own..... Based off those 2 bags I had much higher hopes for my order. This afternoon I'll determine if the plate carrier and pouches stay or not.

Anybody know of a good sturdy belt?

Right now I just use UncleMikes cheapo belt with a Velcro inner (does the job), but I want something "better".

I know there is a company out there that makes belts out of diver suits or some such and are really sturdy... anybody know what it was called?

Sell it all. Don't bother.

I think you mean scuba webbing. I believe that's OSOE gear but I'm sure there are a few other guys making their belts out of this stuff also.

Well, I was actually thinking of along the lines of this.

Or the slightly more appropriate

Well, except for the fact that TV still has legs.

I switched to a lo pro vest with elastic pouches in the front (bfg plateminus and tenspeed pouches) recently. a loose shirt fits over fine. Its eons better than the old issued crap we had before.

in case you're wondering here is the list:

DDMK18, SigMK25 and SOG trident
HSP D3 chest rig with 4 PMAG 20s M3, 2 LAR15 mags and 2 MK25 mags
Völund Atlas G-hook belt with Raven holster and mag carrier with 2 more P226 mags

I definitely love how light and low-profile everything feels together... but I think I need a Mayflower APC ;)

I think you are talking about the ranger belt from aresgear?

WAY more comfortable than a scuba webbing belt, and just as rigid...

My ultra high speed belt set up uses my own companies Aggressor Gun Belt, RCS Holster and Mag Carrier and an old school MM Rolly. Occasionally I'll add a single rifle mag to the mix, but I'll usually carry them on a chest rig.

That's a very nice setup. Do you use an inner belt, or do you thread it through your beltloops every time out?

I designed the belt to be used through pant loops, but I've used it over top of board shorts in this exact configuration. We've made custom versions with Velcro on the exterior for use with other duty belts, but these are by request and not a standard product. Threading your accessories on every time is the price you pay for the low profile set up. We're working on a duty/battle belt concept but that's a little ways out.

The company is Gear Dynamics. You can google us or check us out on Facebook!
