Well, here is my 'trapped inside' winter project. Picked it up at Cabela's for $189. It's 22WMR. I wrapped the wire stock using a cobra knot; worked out quite well. The forestock and grip are made out of 1/4" and 1/2" baltic birch plywood. I laminated 5 strips 5/8"x2" for the grip before shaping it. Since I am so cheap I just painted them with my daughter's acrylic craft paint and then hit them with Krylon clear. They are actually quite comfortable. For the grip I used a 3/16"x32 2" bolt recessed from the bottom. The wood I had kicking around so it really did not cost anything which I think suits the little bugger. Hopefully it gets warmer and drier and I can get it out and shoot some. Father in law says he has gophers coming out, but the snow today chased them all back down their holes.
