I picked up a Little Badger a while ago and decided there had to be a way to make it more compact by taking it apart without tools. I figured out the screw is 5/16 inches in diameter. I purchased a 5/16 thumbscrew, wingnut, and threaded t nut. I cut down the threaded t nut (some of the threads remain). I feel the t nut allows more of the screw to come into more into contact with the side of the rifle and reduce play. I then cut the thumbscrew to length (lots of great YouTube videos out there showing you how to do it with minimal tools. It's easy to assemble/disassemble without tools and tightens up snugly.

Nice work!
Wing nuts (with the wings filled down a bit) on both sides, one side of the threaded rod peened so the wingnut can't come off that side would be a bit cleaner and less bulky.
After I bent the stock on my badger a little it became more comfortable to shoot and folded up a bit tighter... infact it's so compact when folded I couldn't be bothered to take it apart.

Good idea. I have a de luxe model in 22lr. I do not like the rear sight . Need to change it, any suggestions?

The magnum of mine shoots six inches high at 26 yards making it useless, I did find a taller front sight in the states but by the time it gets here it's the cost of the gun.

Only fired 1 at the range. For me, the best mod would be a “for sale “ sigh. I did not like it or the feel. An idea I don’t need, but that said if it floats your boat have at it.

Interesting mod with the wingnut.

I bought one (22lr) on sale as a joke, planning to deck it out with all kinds of tactical crap, bought a barrel shroud, and all kinds of extras.
After shooting it, I realized it was a disservice to the gun, and brought back to stock, leaving just a red dot on it. Mine is extremely accurate (one of the reasons why I got rid of all the crap).

Wingnut is a great idea. Anybody know who sells aftermarket parts for these? I added a little buttstock pouch and some para cord but I noticed you can buy better sights, shrouds and neat little thread protectors. I’ve been looking but I can’t find any vendors.
I really hate the sights on this little guy and I’d like to replace the plastic thread protector with something purpose built for it.
