I picked up a Little Badger a while ago and decided there had to be a way to make it more compact by taking it apart without tools. I figured out the screw is 5/16 inches in diameter. I purchased a 5/16 thumbscrew, wingnut, and threaded t nut. I cut down the threaded t nut (some of the threads remain). I feel the t nut allows more of the screw to come into more into contact with the side of the rifle and reduce play. I then cut the thumbscrew to length (lots of great YouTube videos out there showing you how to do it with minimal tools. It's easy to assemble/disassemble without tools and tightens up snugly.
