Chiappa Triple Threat is BACK, Shorter, Lighter, and Threatier....

Absolutely want. Would not pay $2kk though.

I've owned a chiappa .44 take-down which I bought new. It had parts breakage issues. In fairness, Chiappa always replaced broken parts for free... But 6months wait each time (multiple times.) I sold it for well-below half its new going price.

It'd take a lot for me to get back into the Chiappa game and at $2K, not gonna happen

(Now $1k would be tempting. $800 would probably be back-ordered for a good year.)

With all said... I want to see more pics and read a review.

x2 here

Was looking forward to exactly what you described, until I got exactly what I wanted... never again.

I will say one thing about Wanstalls they are a top notch online retailer and one of my go to dealers when I am looking to buy...I always check their website first...to see if they have what im looking for.
Also I respect them for leaving up all comments good or bad it shows that they have some class..
I had serious issues with one of the cgn dealers, bought something...never received it after 2 months...they were ignoring my emails...and gave me 4 different lame excuses over the phone...finally had to get my credit card company after them to get my money back.
This dealer (lets just say he makes aftermarket parts and sells them thru other dealers) would delete any and all comments that say anything bad about him at all on his threads......absolutely no class whatsoever, and I am happy to go out of my way to tell everybody at my club, and anybody else that I can....not to ever buy from him...

This chiappa might be over priced, but I am sure they aren't making a ton off of it .....and respect the fact that wanstalls goes out of their way to bring in "unique" items at their cost and risk.....

I ordered a shotgun from them a while back on the phone, I called back 15 mins later to add to the order and was told that it was already in the mail........they are awesome .......and as I said...I will always goto them first..

thanks wanstalls :)
keep up the good work :)

I would love to own one of these. I have been looking at Hickock45's reviews of the 18" version for a a couple years. The part that makes sense for the cost is the tremendous amount of work it takes to regulate 3 barrels. 2 barrels is hard enough. The sad part is that in his review the barrels were close but not great. Perhaps this is good enough for very close defensive use with shot but leaves something to be desired with slugs. And kicks like a mule.

..........Still, I want one, but not for that price. Kind of like the Jesse James guns. Not trying to derail.

Joint account is for groceries and coffee. haha. You should have your own man toy account. That way you can spend all you want. But take it from me, when you have 1-3 packages arriving ever day from Canada Post, questions inevitably get brought up.. Lol

And that is why you have to receive the stuff at your work adress.

If you feel safe walking around with three in the pipe......cocked and loaded with just the safety on....then maybe.....but I wouldn't feel safe fishing or hiking with a loaded gun....so you would have to load it just before use...and hopefully you have enough time to do so...in a dangerous situation
+1 Not only would it be dumb to carry one cocked and locked the barrels are so short that the slightest bit of inattention, using it under stress or in wet conditions would present a serious risk of blowing off your forward hand. I'm not putting my left hand that close to a shotgun muzzle.

? I have a 12" outlaw and there's plenty of room up front. The buttstock comes into no small equation here. Once shouldered, your forehand finds it's place most naturally. Now, 12" barrels with a pistol grip (prohibited) and I can see concern for one's LH digits...leaving the law aside for a moment. :p

I like it. That said, doesn't the "regular one" have a stock that separates into a rough hogs leg grip - while retaining a more ubiquitous barrel length for other functions? The brass bead is a much classier look than the high viz sight.

...And does it use extractors or ejectors?

agreed. i never got the chance to buy anything 500$ plus from them, and they were always nice to me in store anyway.
