hello all i was looking at getting the chinese CQA1 AR15 i was just wondering what everyones opinions are on it if its worth the buy.

Hello gibby0087
There is lots of info on this particular firearm on this site. You should try using the search function and change the "Find posts from" field to 36 months. Me and my cuz went halfers on one and I luv it. Just remember you get what you pay for in terms of finish and all that.... but its more accurate than I am and went bang every time i pulled the trigger. Can't go wrong for $700 bucks. IS it worth it? YES definaetly YES.

Depends on what you're looking to get out of a rifle. As an AR to get you into the Black Rifle scene it's alright, but for a few hundred more you could get an NEA. Do you need it now or can you afford to wait and buy a rifle of higher quality? Do you plan to do a lot of shooting and is this a gun you plan to own for the rest of your life?

I'd avoid you to stay away from adding all the look cool factors, if you decide to put on rails, optics, lights, save up and go with the quality manufacturers. You don't want your Norinco to look like a 1990 Honda CRX with a big far can muffler and window tint from Cambodian Tire by throwing some $5.99 Costco flashlight with and airsoft mount on a UTG rail.

Please use the search function. Click on advanced, set the time for more than one week and you will get tons of responses. Heck, even scrolling down a couple of pages will get you answers.

The fact of the matter is they work. They are the best but they are functional. For a little more money and with some patience you can get a Canadian NEA. I say patience because NEA seems to be having a hard time keeping up with demand. That says something about NEA IMO.

If you just want to try out the AR platform and money is tight, go with the Norc. That is what I did and I have been satisfied. Personally the only real downside to the Norc is all the haters, hating it on CGN. But that is up to me be bothered or not. My rifle doesn't care.

Dive in the AR platform. They are good rifles and fun to shoot. Add Pmags and ammo and enjoy.

I think the consensus is around here they are a great AR for their price. While built well and function great, the finish is lacking.

For those of us who are on a budget, jump in with both feet! The recommendations about the NEA 15 are right on the money. For only $200-300 more you can have a north american made quality finished rifle.

Not an option for me where i barely have enough pennies for the Norc, but either way you will end up with a decent rifle.

If everyone used the search function every time, then we would all have nothing to get on this forum and talk about. As for the Norc AR...for the price, it's a great gun.

RACKMAN

Well.... My Norc M4 has been fantastic. I just got finnished up putting an Armalite 2 stage tactical trigger in it from wolverine supplies. What a huge difference from the Norc trigger. Worth the upgrade thats for damn sure. You cant go wrong with a Norc.... they are pretty tuff and accurate for the money.

Of course it's worth the money, mine works great so I got a RRA 9mm, now I'm thinking of building another one. It's like crack execpt the north american crack is better. I could buy 2 and a half norks for what I'm into this 9mm for but that's what happens when you drink the ar koolaide.

My CQA put four shots at 25 yards that could be covered by a dime. I honestly doubt the average shooter could tell the difference between the norinco and the more expensive brands

Great gun, 100% reliable. Weirdest owners manual ever.

What, you don't think the Nork is good for UFO defence? China does! :D
