are you saying that some former USSR have the same 5 rd mag law?

In Russia it is ten. What he is trying to say when it is exported it is exported by Government first and then Exporter. When Izhimpex did his first shippment and it was not pinned, his shipment was about to be destroyed by customs. Customs send letter to the country of origin saying that if you want to export to Canada it has to be pinned. Company that sells those goods at origin is government company and it was noted there that those have to be pinned. Approved pinning process is what Russia had, so they adapted that. I hope you understand what I mean.

I have a chinese SKS with a 306 arsenal stamp, and a 7 digit serial number starting with a 1. Can anyone help determine where its from and what year ??I've checked around and have been unable to find out any info.

unfortunately, there is no way to date chinese SKS from all factories other than from /26\ .
