Forgive a newb question but how are these superior to a sub $200.00 Russian SKS? More accurate?......nicer finish?.....more reliable?

Or is it just a case of having something different and less common?

In finish, the russian is nicer, reliability would be on par, were it do shine is accuracy, (bought a dozen or so for the kids over the years, and grampa get to test fire all of them and the chinese Type 56 Military ones, really are good shooters, simple, i got them cauz they are worthed and nowaday seldom seen... JP.

the are new never used that is the biggest difference. All of the russian stuff as been used despite claims of on issued on fired

It's a free market. I'm a little put off how these are 'found.' I was ready to buy more in the past, but whatever. Buy one or not. 'Find' some SKS-Ds, now we're talking.

I'm tempted to buy a pair just to spite you whiners. Over-developed sense of entitlement. Blaming the seller because you were late to the game. Pathetic.

Whatever they were genuinely ''found'' or not, Marstar can sell them for any price they want. It's a free market afterall. I remember the Yugo M59-66AB1 they sold for 329$ How much are they now ? I see some Bran new ones on GunBroker for..... 600$ USD.....

As with all surplus, supply will eventually dry up and we all wish we coulda, shoulda, bought one or more. I feel all this cheap surplus ammo will be gone eventually and we will all wish we shoulda bought another case or 10. We all hear about the good old days with cheap SMLE's and mausers in the past but the combloc deals are now, they wont last forever.

This guy understands it. Don't like the price then don't buy it and move on.

If u bought an ounce of gold 10 years ago, would u sell it for the price u paid or would u hope it goes up in value and u make some profit off it? Who would buy a couple crates of SKS's, store them for years then sell them for the same price they paid? It's called business. Lol If someone can buy them cheaper- lets hear it.

Greed for the almighty $$$$ , they probably paid $ 30 each for them, sell them for $300
Well I appreciate your market research, if you know where I can purchase NEW Chinese military SKS rifles for $30. I will order 100,000 units from you and pay you a finders fee.
John

Johnone,
Any chance of getting a pic or 2 of your "find"?
Thank you.

Not certain I understand your question here ?. We have posted pictures on the site. I happens that a few cases got piled behind some other material that came in earlier this year, no big mystery as we would have noticed them sooner or later.
Thank you for your interest
John

And if Marstar brings in some more yugo sks I will be their to buy another one.

The word here is "if".... All of the yelling and screaming over the last day or so makes me wonder if we should not simply deliver them to our distributor in the US ? Funny how the US market gobbles up this stuff without all the whining ??
John

I agree, in 1994 this same sks went for 149.00 and the russian was 229.00 In comparison to everything else, looks like a good deal. A model 1 mark 3 sold for 99.00, Now you pay that for the mag.
Everyone seems to want today's inventory at yesterday's prices.... Interesting....
You certainly appear to understand what happens in the surplus world, 30+ years ago I can recall paying $35. for Mausers new in the crate, We shipped Enfields to the US @ $25. We retailed .303 Brit ammo for $99./1000 ....ETC, ETC....
BTW if you know of a GM dealer who might have a 1958 Corvette in stock I would be interested, at the 1958 sticker price of course.
