Keep up the good work johnone, I for one appreciate what you do to bring "us" all these firearms/accessories etc etc. If it were not for dealers like yourself we would all be stuck with our grandfather's 30/30's.

So many cry babies in this thread. This is exactly why they don't allow people to post replies to EE ads. If you don't like the price then move on, Marstar owes you nothing.

Thanks.
Wasn't sure if the pic on your site was a pic of the actual rifle. Most likely be putting in an order for one of them today. Do you allow local pick ups?
Thanks.

Not certain I understand your question here ?. We have posted pictures on the site. I happens that a few cases got piled behind some other material that came in earlier this year, no big mystery as we would have noticed them sooner or later.
Thank you for your interest
John

The word here is "if".... All of the yelling and screaming over the last day or so makes me wonder if we should not simply deliver them to our distributor in the US ? Funny how the US market gobbles up this stuff without all the whining ??
John
And what about the free falling Canadian dollar? I'm sure your U.S distributor would take them all knowing what the exchange rate is. Personally I've never understood the appeal of an SKS but it is fun watching this thread grow.

Thanks.

Sorry but we no longer allow pick ups because of additional security requirements....
We allow only dealers, museums, LE, Government agencies to attend at our facility

This should be the end of the thread right here. Can't believe what a bunch of entitlists troll this forum.
Good luck John.

Marstar have offered and provided some great deals. Many have benefited.
If you don't like the price of something right now just move along - stop whining!
Be thankful for the bargains that have been had already, and if you missed out, tough. Life ain't fair sometimes.

where do past deals apply to this current issue?

This thread has over 11,000 views , and over 150 posts , and I really do not understand what all the fuss is about . The OP is a dealer , and of course needs to make money to keep his business going . It is a private business , not a non-profit charity . The OP has the rifles for sale , they are his , and he is free to charge whatever price he sees fit . If the consumer feels the price is to high , they do not need to buy. It is the free enterprise market system at work . At $300 , I do not really find the price excessive for a new , non-refurbed rifle.....I am sure the OP will sell them all . In short , if you like the rifle and price , then buy ; if the price is a little too steep , then do not buy....if the OP can make a decent profit , all the more power to him.....maybe he can grow his business , and add a few more Canadian jobs....

100% agree, I bought two last year and ordered another for my brother at the new price because I feel that it's still reasonable and they are that good. To each thier own.

Everyone seems to want today's inventory at yesterday's prices.... Interesting....
You certainly appear to understand what happens in the surplus world, 30+ years ago I can recall paying $35. for Mausers new in the crate, We shipped Enfields to the US @ $25. We retailed .303 Brit ammo for $99./1000 ....ETC, ETC....
BTW if you know of a GM dealer who might have a 1958 Corvette in stock I would be interested, at the 1958 sticker price of course.

I missed all THESE good deals because I wasn't born yet. Recalling those stories from my uncles is why I jumped at the opportunity to pick up one of these SKS brand new 2 years ago.... Which makes me think... In 40 years can I sell my original wood stocks to all the people who Bubba'd their rifles? :)

Just read this entire thread and for the first time in my life...I'm actually considering an SKS. One of these $300 ones too. Christmas has depleted the fun-money supply, so, we'll see if there are any left come the (early) new year.

On a side note~I've never ordered anything from Marstar...but I can't imagine being a paying sponsor of this site, only to get sh_t-on in the sub-forum I pay for. lol johnone~you must have a thick skin! My dad always said; "Things are worth what people will pay for them" so I hope the pile you found is quietly shrinking in spite of all the static in this thread. Maybe there will be one left by the time I'm done being Santa to so many kids/nieces/nephews! :)

It's a bunch of peasants who squabble over a couple hundred bucks, they were 75 bucks last year because they were civilian versions, not brand new military ones. It's been said every where that these specific style rifles would be going up in price because the market has dried up. I've dealt with Marstar a ton and they have been fantastic and will continue to do business with them.

Gunexpert007 said it perfectly, glad there are a few people who know what is going on

Even if Marstar gave everyone a free gun people on here would still #####....The amount of Whiners on this forum is growing daily.Hats off to the paying dealers on here that put up with it.

$300 for a new military firearm is good bargain to me. I would prefer a Russian one but try to find a new one at any price. So, a gun's value to someone depends on the owner so..... a bargain to someone might be an overpriced item to someone else. So, never allow someone else's opinion to make the purchase decision for you.
