Chinese Type 81, heard they are coming to Canada

With the last few shipments of CZ-858 rifles being turned away at customs, I'm really skeptical of these rifles ever making it to Canadian soil.

CSA vz's are still comming in, it was apparently a screw up of actually shipping CA Recievers to us in a few batches.

Type 97's are here now as well despite the first batch being deemed prohibited.

Is this really not an AK variant ? Can't see this passing even if it technically isn't.
Unless this comes in at about $3-400 then I'd still prefer the VZ.
 
Stamped reciever, rotating bolt, short stroke operation, hammer fired. It has a lot of qualitys most of our popular semis share and its not advertised as an ak variant. Yes it is heavily influenced by the ak and the classification could go either way. I seriously doubt they will be able to stick ak internals in there and make it a variant it would be prohib by looks alone

Are you forgetting the SW MP22?

Absolutely nothing in common with an AR other than looks and it was deemed a variant. Same with the Ahkdal shotguns. Not a single part in common and still a variant!

Now after what just went down with the CZ's from Wolverine......

Im not getting excited. Hell it will be 2 years before we even get a review with the way things are going at the RCMP.

Seems the whole plan is to discourage importers from even attempting to bring guns in.

Bout time someone calls them on their BS. How the #### can it take so long to inspect a gun?
 
they'll prohibit the cool guns any chance they get, or they'll just stymie the process to make sure the importer is hit with crippling holding fee's ( to deter future importations )

Hopefully in the future, a more responsible group is put in charge of firearms ( at least one that doesn't have a regressive Agenda )

Isn't that an RPK? I must be mistaken, what firearm is that?
 
If the CZ receivers were modified why wouldn't someone start importing purpose built semis again? Seems like this entire family of rifles is now gutted.
