there needs to be a service standard at the RCMP lab they should have a set amount of time to make a firearms ruling there should also be an oversight committee that reviews any decisions they make and review and the ability to overule past rulings IE the draganov being an AK variant

Yes... I just found a thread about this on another vendor's forum (not sure if I can mention them here... ?) About a year and a half ago they said they had this rifle, along with some others, just sitting at the RCMP lab waiting for an FRT.

So that news is both cool and frustrating at the same time...

What the heck are you talking about? Just because a gun has an FRT entry, it doesn't mean they tested it to see if it was full auto capable. They just gave an opinion as to what the classification of the gun is.

Every gun sold in Canada, even many airsoft and pellet guns, have FRT entries. FRT entries are an opinion to what the legal status of a gun is, not a prerequisite to what the legal status is.

You don't need an FRT to sell a gun or possess it, but CBSA won't import without an FRT entry to reference.
