Boy did I screw up!-bought a rifle with one of those choate tactical varmint stocks sight unseen. Nice gun but the grip behind the trigger guard was meant for a fella with hands like a gorilla!-very uncomfortable. This is some kind of a fibreglass/composite stock so had a brain wave to grab a pneumatic hand grinder and take some "meat" off the pistol grip. All went well till I grinded down about 1/2 an inch and ground right through-now I have a large gaping hole and grip is still too big! Am I screwed or continue grinding to where my hand feels comfortable and try and rebuild with devcon or fibreglass to fill up that hollow portion?-gun is a Remington 700 .243 AI with a 1 inch barrel
