Looking at getting an AR, kinda a noob with AR's, so I was wondering who is a good AR manufacturer? What is a reliable make, easy to maintain and an overall a quality AR?
Thanks for you opinions
Depends on what you wana do with it a Norinco can be a good make for a few hundred rounds a year at paper.
I consider the AR a life saving tool so I run Daniel Defense and Spikes tactical.
And you have a million choices these days get out your google fu
600 rounds into my 10.5" Norc without a single issue... The thing just keeps on ticking along without a hitch. Haven't even cleaned the thing either.
What's that about 5 minutes![]()
What's your budget? That'll help us guide you in a given direction.
Having just entered the AR market I would highly recommend the Windham Weaponry SRC; of all the AR's I handled and tested it has the best fit and finish for the price.
If your budget can support a boutique AR, I would hands down go with a Noveske, Daniel Defense, or Colt.
^^ This.
The range in price for this platform is HUGE, tell us how much you are willing to spend on the rifle (don't forget about added costs of ammo and any extras you may want).
Setting this range will pretty much narrow your decision down to a few manufacturers.
