Hi,
I have an older (early '70's I'm guessing) 12ga, 3" chamber Miroku o/u, 30" barrels with fixed mod/full chokes. It's near identical to my fathers Miroku Charles Daly version. I bought the gun as a back-up and parts gun for my dad's Charles Daly even though my Miroku is in way better condition. I'm considering installing Briley chokes however the cost (if my math is correct) will be around $1200+- when you consider installation, 5 chokes, exchange rate, shipping, taxes etc. I've only used the gun for the odd round of trap and 3-5 duck hunts (with Tungsten Matrix). I want to use the gun for skeet, doves, waterfowling and need steel shot and open choke options. Question - Would I be better off buying a used Citori with chokes? Will the Briley chokes decrease the value of the gun? It's a nice gun in very good condition and I plan on keeping it.
Let me know what your thoughts are!
Thanks,
RB
