whatever you get, get it in 8x40 - that's what i've been using for over 38 years - good at dusk, dawn, good fov, and just a tad heavier than 7x35s with out going to the weight of 50mm glass- sure , i've got a pair of 10x 20 for really looking,(they're bushnell compacts) but my all-around glass is a carl wetzlar(sears off brand is shultz) - as far as bushell being crap goes, i'd argue that point- or at least were- i used to work at wild and i saw as good a glass come out of japan as a ny of our swiss-german stuff, and we made survey instruments and theodlites
