Chrony recommendations?

Canadian Tire sells a RCBS Chrony, any good?

What Chrony would you recommend for both bow and gun, something easy to use.
I do not have a smartphone.

I have the old Chrony Alpha .Shot countless rounds over it and it was great.Took someones' word that his rifle was sighted in perfect and shot it over my Chrony with a constant error code.I went over to look at the machine and put 3 shots right across the wires slicing them.Good consistent group but now my Chrony is retired.Just remember that you might shoot it one day.http://www.midwayusa.com/product/306796/shooting-chrony-alpha-master-chronograph

ABC. Anything but "Chroney"! I shot mine on purpose. Right between the two "R's" on the error it showed on 80% of the shots. Replaced that POS with an Oehler 35P. Now I have a useable chronograph.

I have a Shooting Chrony. Cheap, worked most of the time. I never really trusted the readings, nowadays I use the results on paper to tell me my SD/ES. That and I shoot almost exclusively at known distances.

I sent mine back to Cabelas before I got a shot at it. The instructions that came with it said, 'If you have a problem with the unit, do not send it back to the retailer, send it to us and we will repair it for you'. Not a chance.

I have a shooting chrony (made in Canada I believe) as well, works pretty good and not to big of a hit on the wallet if you shoot it!
I'm holding out for a labradar.

I am waiting for the mylabradar to come out as well...it will be expensive though. 5-6 hundred but it sets up behind the shooter and hopefully will get more consistant readings.

My Chrony is picky, but works ok, had it for about 6 years now maybe. Worst conditions possible are part sunny with fast moving clouds.

These have intrigued me. So I take it your happy with yours? I understand they change POI?

Bought my chrony in 1987---still going strong.
If you start to get error readings, change the battery!!

didn,t see any change of POI but my barrel are quite heavy profile maybe on thinner sporter barrels

That looks interesting . Like the design and less chance of shooting it like some people do.

Can you shoot a fifteen shot string at 1.5 minute intervals without an error to screw it up?

I don't know if I have? Never really payed attention to how many rounds I shot over a given time. I only use it for load development and velocity for long range shooting and have had no issues.
