Chronys??

I have had a Crony for many years. Works best in a heavy fog, barely see the target at 100. The new Labradar looks good, made in Canada although you can be sure we will be bent over on the price.

based on what?
I've read accuracy can be good even when the velocity spread is high-ish
At short range that is (300y or less)

Those same reloads will also hold 1/2moa vertical at 900yds. It's the chrony, or at least it's my chrony that's the issue.

I bought a Caldwell Premium Kit. It is still sitting in the kitchen, waiting for some fair weather to come along. I have been shooting and reloading for a looonnnggg time and have never owned a chronograph. I look forward to playing with it.

I had an older refurbished ShootingChrony as my first chronograph. I used to shoot with a buddy who had an Oehler. (Very knowledgeable guy and excellent shooter) We put the Chrony in front of the Oehler and shot strings over it, with virtually identical results. It was pretty funny, actually.

I've shot up to about 3800fps over a Chrony.

Also heard of lining up 3 Chronys and shooting over all 3 to get a good average, and still only spending $400. :)

I think the Lab Radar will take the chronograph world by storm- If it works as advertised.

I bought the best shooting chrony offered due to mostly good reviews at the time. I find it mostly a pain in the ass and it Has been very inaccurate at times when tested with other chronys

I was looking at the Caldwells as well today at a gun show. The part tham makes me want one is the fact you can hook your smart phone up for the remote display. I was looking at the basic one for $119 since I have a tripod already and don't think the fabric case is worth the extra $100 the seller was charging. Wish I had made it to Cabela's a few months ago when they had them on sale for $79. Would love to hear from anyone who has tried one.
